11. Tóm tắt các kết quả mới của luận án:
- Thứ nhất, luận án đã xây dựng khung lý thuyết khoa học cho việc phân tích quan hệ chính trị Việt Nam - Lào từ năm 2012 đến năm 2022. Cụ thể, sau khi tiếp cận một số quan điểm của Chủ nghĩa Mác - Lênin, Chủ nghĩa hiện thực, Chủ nghĩa tự do; quan điểm của Việt Nam, Lào; tư tưởng Hồ Chí Minh, tư tưởng Cay-xỏn Phôm-vi-hản và một số học giả, luận án đã đưa ra những yếu tố cơ bản trong quan hệ chính trị Việt Nam - Lào, gồm (i) Chủ thể theo các cấp độ phân tích: quốc gia, địa phương; (ii) phương thức: Trao đổi đoàn, tiến hành các hội nghị; đoàn kết hữu nghị, hợp tác toàn diện; (iii) Nội dung: Quan hệ chính trị giữa các chủ thể về hợp tác quốc phòng - an ninh và đối ngoại; quan hệ chính trị giữa các chủ thể về hợp tác kinh tế; quan hệ chính trị giữa các chủ thể về hợp tác văn hoá - xã hội; (iv) Mục tiêu: Vì (bảo đảm) lợi ích của mỗi quốc gia dân tộc trong môi trường khu vực và quốc tế, xây dựng đất nước ở mỗi nước độc lập, thống nhất, hoà bình, dân giàu, nước mạnh, công bằng, dân chủ, văn minh, phồn vinh, thịnh vượng.
- Thứ hai, quan hệ chính trị Việt Nam - Lào từ 2012 đến 2022 được nghiên cứu một cách khoa học, có hệ thống trên cơ sở cách tiếp cận chính trị học, theo đó quan hệ chính trị giữa các chủ thể về: hợp tác quốc phòng - an ninh và đối ngoại; hợp tác kinh tế; hợp tác văn hoá - xã hội là trọng tâm nghiên cứu chính.
- Thứ ba, quan hệ chính trị Việt Nam - Lào từ 2012 đến 2022 được nhận xét, đánh giá một cách tổng thể, chỉ ra những yếu tố tác động (thuận lợi và khó khăn) thời gian qua, dự báo những cơ hội, thách thức trong quan hệ hai nước thời gian tới, đồng thời kiến nghị có giá trị lý luận và thực tiễn nhằm tăng cường quan hệ chính trị Việt Nam - Lào giai đoạn 2023-2032 và những năm tiếp theo.
12. Khả năng ứng dụng trong thực tiễn:
- Kết quả nghiên cứu của luận án có thể đóng góp vào việc hoàn thiện cơ sở lý luận của nghiên cứu quan hệ chính trị quốc tế nói chung, quan hệ chính trị Việt Nam - Lào nói riêng theo cách tiếp cận của khoa học chính trị.
- Luận án có thể được dùng làm tài liệu tham khảo cho giới khoa học, chuyên gia, sinh viên; có thể sử dụng làm tư liệu trong công tác giảng dạy tại các cơ sở đào tạo về chính trị học và quan hệ quốc tế.
13. Những hướng nghiên cứu tiếp theo:
- Tiếp tục hoàn thiện hơn nữa cách tiếp cận chính trị học trong nghiên cứu quan hệ chính trị Việt Nam - Lào, từ đó xác định rõ hơn cơ sở lý thuyết và những phương pháp cụ thể để thực hiện các nghiên cứu có liên quan.
- Mở rộng phạm vi, nội dung nghiên cứu để làm rõ hơn quan hệ giữa các chủ thể chính trị giai đoạn 2023-2032, phân tích sâu hơn những yếu tố tác động tới quan hệ chính trị Việt Nam - Lao, đề xuất việc hoàn thiện hơn nữa chính sách của Việt Nam đối với Lào trong tình hình mới.

11. Summary of the new findings of the thesis:
- Firstly, the thesis has built a scientific theoretical framework for analyzing political relations between Vietnam and Laos from 2012 to 2022. Specifically, after approaching some perspectives of Marxism - Leninism , Realism, Liberalism; viewpoints of Vietnam and Laos; Ho Chi Minh's ideology, Kaysone Phomvihan's ideology and a number of scholars, the thesis has introduced basic elements in Vietnam - Laos political relations, including (i) Subjects according to levels of analysis: national, local; (ii) method: Exchanging delegations, conducting conferences; solidarity, friendship, comprehensive cooperation; (iii) Content: Political relations between subjects on defense - security cooperation and foreign affairs; political relations between subjects regarding economic cooperation; political relations between subjects regarding socio-cultural cooperation; (iv) Objective: For (ensuring) the interests of each nation in the regional and international environment, building the country in each country to be independent, unified, peaceful, rich people, strong country, fairness, democracy, civilization, prosperity, prosperity.
- Secondly, political relations between Vietnam and Laos from 2012 to 2022 are studied scientifically and systematically on the basis of a political approach, according to which political relations between subjects about: defense - security and foreign affairs cooperation; economic cooperation; socio-cultural cooperation is the main research focus.
- Thirdly, international political relations 1945-1955 is thoroughly commented on, thereby pointing out its major impacts on the Vietnamese revolution as well as proposing several recommendations with theoretical and practical values for Vietnam in the current period.
- Thirdly, the political relations between Vietnam and Laos from 2012 to 2022 is thoroughly commented on, pointing out the impact factors (advantages and disadvantages) over the past time, and forecasting opportunities, challenges in the relationship between the two countries in the coming time, and at the same time make recommendations with theoretical and practical value to strengthen political relations between Vietnam and Laos in the period 2023 to 2032 and the following years.

- The thesis’s research results can contribute to perfecting the theoretical basis of research on international political relations in general, and Vietnam - Laos political relations in particular from the approach of political science.
- The thesis can be used as a reference for scientists, experts, and students; can be used as material in teaching at training institutions on politics and international relations.
13. Further research directions, if any:
- Further improving the political approach in research on Vietnam vs Laos political relations, thereby defining more clearly theoretical basis and specific methods to cary out related studies.
- Expanding the scope of the research in terms of time, space, and content to further clarify the power competition between actors during the Cold War; assessing the impacts of those developments on Vietnam and pointing out valuable experiences and suggestions for the improvement of Vietnam’s foreign policy in the new situation.
- Expanding the scope and content of research to clarify the relationship between political subjects in the period 2023-2032, analyze more deeply the factors affecting to Vietnam - Laos political relations, and pointing out suggestions for the improvement of Vietnam's policy towards Laos in the new situation
