's Faculty of Oriental Studies has ample experiences with country studies programs such as Korean Studies, Japanese Studies, Chinese Studies, Indian Studies, and Southeast Asian Studies. The addition of Israel studies would prove to be practical and provide opportunities for students of the University to expand their knowledge.

As such, the two sides discussed a number of preliminary options for cooperation such as organizing short-term courses on Israeli language, culture and history taught by of teachers and experts from universities in Israel; holding exchange events, and cultural, art exhibitions to promote the people and country of Israel; and cooperating to seek for scholarships in Israel for students of the University. After getting positive results from the initial activities, the University and the Embassy of Israel will step by step build a major in Israel studies at the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
University of Social Sciences and Humanities has cooperated with the Israeli Embassy in Vietnam to organize many activities such as the Remembrance Day for the victims of the Holocaust every year since 2017. The activities were attended by numerous officials, lecturers, and students of the University as well as representatives of the Israeli Embassy.
