Vietnam's tourism is a spearhead economic sector, contributing to accelerating economic growth and development, and soon turning Vietnam into a modern-oriented industrial country.

Along the country, the Mekong River Delta has made great efforts to exploit and promote the existing potentials and strengths in tourism.

Local newspapers, with their functions and duties, have actively participated in promoting tourism development and have achieved important results. However, the tourism promotion of the region in local newspapers still has some limitations that need to be overcome. The thesis is a systematic study of tourism promotion in the Mekong Delta in local newspapers. The research project is successful, will contribute to the correct assessment of the status of tourism promotion in the Mekong Delta. On that basis, propose a number of solutions and recommendations to improve the quality and effectiveness of propaganda on tourism development, especially to raise awareness of local authorities and people in building building a sustainable tourism environment.
