Open educational and scientific cooperation with Angolan universities

Within the framework of the 7th session of the Vietnam - Angola Intergovernmental Committee in the capital Luanda (Republic of Angola), the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, National University Hanoi University has signed a cooperation document with Agostinho Neto University to implement scientific and training activities in the upcoming time.

From March 26 to March 28, 2024, Mr.Nguyen Kim Son - Minister of Education and Training led the Vietnamese delegation to participate in the 7th Session of the Vietnam Intergovernmental Committee - Angola in Luanda (Republic of Angola).
Within the framework of the business trip, leaders of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU signed a cooperation document with Agostinho Neto University in the presence of the Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam - Nguyen Kim Son and Minister of Higher Education, Science, Technology and Innovation of Angola - Maria do Rosário Bragança.

Accordingly, in the coming time, the two schools will focus on building plans and effectively implementing key activities: being the driving force in promoting scholarships provided by the Vietnamese Government for Angolan students under the Agreement between the two Governments on cooperation in higher education and training; enhance expert exchange and support Vietnamese language teaching activities for students and overseas Vietnamese in Angola; Organizing a scientific conference aimed at celebrating 50 years of diplomatic relations between Angola and Vietnam...
Witnessing the signing ceremony of the cooperation agreement, Minister of Education and Training of Vietnam Nguyen Kim Son expected that the joint implementation of the two universities would achieve positive results, becoming a model and focal point for promoting training and scientific activities between the two countries to become more practical and effective.
Between 2024 - 2025, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will grant 02 full scholarships to students of Agostinho Neto University. Along with that, the University will also promote the 10 scholarships the Vietnamese Government offers to Angolan students.

Agostinho Neto University is named after the National Hero, the Leader of the Angolan national liberation movement in the years 1961-1974, and the first President of the country of Angola (1975-1979). The University offers multi-system training (bachelor, master, doctorate) and multi-disciplinary, many of which are very close to the University of Social Sciences and Humanities such as Linguistics, Literature, History, Politics, Tourism Studies, International Studies, etc.
