4 VNU scientists continue to be honored in the world research.com rankings 2023

On September 1, 2023, Research.com announced the ranking results of world scientists with excellent achievements in scientific publications in 2023.

The four scientists from Hanoi National University continue to be honored in the world rankings and to be the lead in 3 fields in Vietnam, 2023: Prof. Dr. Nguyen Dinh Duc - Engineering and Technology; Prof. Dr. Pham Hung Viet, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tu Binh Minh - Environmental Sciences and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hoang Son - Information Technology.
About Research.com's ranking method, the rating system is based on the scientist's D-index - this is the H-index and the number of articles in the fields of scientists on the basis of the system. IEEE, ACL, Springer, AAAI, USENIX, Elsevier, ACM and LIPIcs data. In particular, with this ranking, the website Research.com reviewed the data of 166,880 scientists of the world's top publishing and citation productivity.
In these 24 fields, 14 Vietnamese scientists (up 3 people compared to last year) are listed in 6 fields in the Research.com ranking: Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, Computer Science, Materials Science, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Community Medicine and Social Sciences.
Interestingly, Vietnamese scientists are ranked equally from universities, all of whom are leaders of top research groups. And Vietnam National University, Hanoi is the leading unit with four world-ranked scientists in all three fields: Engineering and Technology, Environmental Sciences, and Computer Science.
The above statistics reflect the continuous progress, efforts and integration of Vietnamese scientists, striving to solidify the name of Vietnam on the world's scientific map.
At the same time, it also shows that Vietnamese science and technology must continue to advance forward. More investment must be made in the name of science so that Vietnam can rise among the ranks of global science.
