Meeting with the representative of Facebook Asia-Pacific

On November 21st, 2018, Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh ( game đánh chắn online đổi thưởng 's Rector) and representatives of game đánh chắn online đổi thưởng 's Vietnam Program for Internet and Society (VPIS), Office for Cooperation and Development welcomed and worked with the delegation from Facebook Asia-Pacific led by Mrs. Jennifer Chan (Associate General Counsel).

At the meeting, Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh said Facebook is currently the most influential social network in Vietnam. Therefore, the Vietnam Program for Internet and Society (VPIS) have had some activities on this issue such as holding international conference "Illegal Hate Speech and Solutions Towards a Safe and Sustainable Social Network Environment in Vietnam" and proposing a "Code of conduct for social media" in April, 2017; and holding the international conference "Social media and their psychological impact on users" in September 2017 or launching a study of the psychological impact of social media on users. 

Mrs. Jennifer Chan said there are many opportunities for cooperation between game đánh chắn online đổi thưởng and VPIS to develop programs that provide social media skills for students and learners in the future.

Prof. Dr Pham Quang Minh agreed with the thoughts of Mrs. Jennifer Chan and said, universities have to become bridges that connect the stakeholders of social media. Therefore, VPIS is willing to co-hold many events with Facebook such as conferences, seminars, and research projects concerning such topics as developing content policies for social media, digital connectivity, and digital citizenship. These activities would also advise information and communication policy-makers. 

Vietnam Program for Internet & Society (VPIS), game đánh chắn online đổi thưởng , VNU Hanoi is an interdisciplinary research program relating to sociology, law, journalism & media, economics, languages, psychology, political science, and information technology. This program aims to clarify the impact of the Internet on different social aspects of life, and in reverse order, the impact of society on forming the future development of the Internet, in terms of social sciences and humanities. Its research areas are Internet & Life, Internet & Law, Internet & Public Management, Internet & Education, and Internet & Media.
